New USB Wireless Network Adapter will use universal driver


1 A universal driver for USB Wireless Network Adapter will appear.
2 In future,new chipsets of USB Wireless Network Adapter,will support the universal driver. So if an operating system have the universal USB WIFI Adapter driver,when user will insert an USB Wireless Network Adapter (the USB WIFI Adapter must support the universal driver),can use the USB WIFI Adapter at once, will not have to install the driver.
3 Universal driver for USB WIFI Adapter,have more edition for any different operating system,such as: for MS-Windows (x86), Linux (x86,ARM,MIPS,PowerPC), Android (ARM, MIPS,PowerPC).
4 In future,many new version operating system will integrate the universal driver for USB WIFI Adapter,such as: MS-Windows (x86), OS X, Linux kernel, Android




LCD TVset's (non-smart TVset) some function in future

Most of the main chip of the non-smart LCD TVset,some functions:
Support 3* HDMI input (Many of support HDMI 1.4)

In future, many new LCD TVset, will support Digital TV receiving function:
If the LCD TVset sold to developed countries, will support DVB-S2 & DVB-S, some of both support DVB-C
If sold to China (include HONGKONG), will support both DVB-C and DMB-TH, some of support DVB-C only.
Some LCD TVset will not support any Digital TV receiving function.

If a LCD TVset support Digital TV receiving:
All support USB Conditional access system adapter
All at least have one I2C smartcard slot.
Some of support Push VOD

About router, switch and modem in future

Wireless router:
1 All of wireless routers, the WAN port will all support 1000Mbps rate, because the wireless function on the router all support IEEE802.11n 300Mbps max at least.
But LAN ports on the wireless routers, will be still 10~100Mbps rate.
2 All of wireless routers, will support both IPv6 and IPv4. But in default, the IPv6 function will be not opened.
3 If the router's main chip will be same, most of the time the firmware will be common.

All of routers will increase these function:
Internal network host can be forwarded to external network:
1 In the settings page of a router, user can appoint some internal network hosts can be forwarded to external network.
2 Maybe can appoint 5 internal network hosts to be forwarded to external network.
3 User can appoint each of the LAN ports on the router, and can appoint a WIFI equipment (when connecting the router), to be forwarded to external network.
4 Router's user can set a password for external network visit the forwarded internal network host. If have been setted the password, when in the external network to visit a forwarded internal network host, should enter the password.
5 For example: If a internal network host will be forwarded to external network, in the external network, user can user any equipment (x86 PC, tabletpc, phone, set-top-box etc.) and enter these: "x.x.x.x/x ("x.x.x.x" means the router's IP address on the external network, "/x" means router's user appoint a name which a host be forwarded)", can visit the forwarded internal network host.
6 This function can be used for: In the external network to visit a network camera (Ethernet or WIFI) on a internal network, Build a web server (or FTP server, Streaming media server, etc.) on the internal network for external network to visit, etc.

Can use the router to login a wireless hotspot, and use Ethernet ports on the router to share it:
All of routers will have another operation mode: Can use the WIFI function on the router to connect a wireless hotspot, and will use Ethernet ports (LAN ports) to visit the external network (on the wireless hotspot).

3G or 4G wireless routers in future:
All of 3G or 4G wireless routers, have a USB2.0 port (Micro USB port), for DC5V power supply, and can be used as a USB 3G/4G adapter.
Have one SIM card slot (Many of also support Mini SIM, Micro SIM etc.)
The WIFI function support IEEE802.11b/g/n 300Mbps max.
Have a 1000Mbps rate WAN port.
Have one or two LAN port (10~100Mbps rate)
Have all of anyother functions as anyother wireless routers.
All of support Lithium ion battery for power supply. Some of have a battery compartment (maybe use BL5C Lithium ion battery), some of have internal Lithium ion battery, some of have a large capacity internal Lithium ion battery and have mobile power function.

Smart wireless routers:
The price of smart wireless routers, will be reduced more.
All of smart wireless routers, have these features:
Have a MIPS or ARM CPU in the main chip of the router. And the CPU have 128KB L2 cache.
All have 128MB DDR3 RAM.
Have a NAND flash for saving firmware and setting, and user can install some applications (for Linux) on the NAND flash.
All of the main chips, support 2* USB2.0, 2* SATA2.0, one SDcard reader, some PCI-E x1 bus etc.
All have a USB2.0 port, many of have a eSATA and USB2.0 2in1 port.
All have a SD card reader (some of will be TF card reader).
User can install applications to the SD card.
All of the firmwares, use Linux kernel, and support to install some applications for Linux (command line applications only).


All of low-grade switches (for home use) have router function:
1 In future, most of low-grade switches will have router function and DHCP server function.
2 Most of low-grade switches will have one 1000Mbps WAN port (if support router function). But each LAN ports will be still 10~100Mbps.
3 All of LAN ports on the switch also support Up-link function.
4 User can choose to open or close the router function and DHCP server function on the switch.
5 If user close the router function, the switch will also have opened DHCP server function, but now user can close DHCP server function.
6 All of low-grade switches, at least have 12 LAN ports.
7 Although most of low-grade switches will have router function, but the cost of the switches will be unchanged.
8 Some of low-grade switches have wireless router function, support IEEE802.11b/g/n 300Mbps max. Some of not have wireless router function.


Traditional fixed telephone and xDSL will decline more and more

1 In some developed countries, such as: Many European countries, Canada, South Korea, Taiwan (Republic of China), Singapore, Japan etc., traditional fixed telephone and xDSL will decline more and more. Because the operating costs of fixed telephone and xDSL will be higher than phone and FTTx, since now or future.
2 Fixed telephone via EPON modem (or GPON) will replace traditional fixed telephone.
3 FTTH and FTTB+LAN will replace xDSL.
4 If a user want to use fixed telephone, can install FTTH or FTTB, and use phone line to connect telephone and GPON (or EPON) modem.
5 Fixed telephone will be still used for internal telephone, or be used for a VOIP terminal equipment.
6 But in USA, Australia, New Zealand, many user will still use traditional fixed telephone.



VOIP gateway :


All of GPON (or EPON) modem (FTTx modem) for home use will have wireless router function in future

1 In future, all of GPON (or EPON) modem (FTTx modem) for home use will have wireless router function, support IEEE802.11b/g/n 150Mbps max.
2 The wireless router function on GPON (or EPON) modem will be not opende, user can open it easily by themselves.
3 All of GPON (or EPON) modem for home use, will support both IPv4 and IPv6.
4 All of GPON (or EPON) modem for home use, will have 4 Ethernet ports (LAN ports), support 10~100Mbps rate.
5 All of GPON (or EPON) modem, can run as both bridging mode and router mode at the same time.
For example, a user have 3 logining ID of the broadband network, can use LAN1 port on the modem to connect and login one of his logining ID (bridging mode), use LAN2 port on the modem to connect and login the second of his logining ID (bridging mode). At the same time use the modem (router mode) to login the third of his logining ID, and use LAN3, LAN4 ports and WIFI function to share the broadband network of his third logining ID.
6 All have one RJ11 fixed telephone port.
7 All of xPON modem for home use, have another operation mode, if two xPON modem interconnection without OLT, can be run as a Ethernet optical switch. At this mode, between the two xPON modem, use the optical to cascade (base on EPON or GPON).

Receipt printer in future

In future, if a receipt printer have a 10~100Mbps Ethernet port, all have a USB 2.0 port, will support both network printer and USB printer two mode.
In future, all of receipt printers, the USB port will be Micro USB port.
